Meet Matthew

I grew up in Sturgis, surrounded by the beautiful Black Hills. My grandfather, a career Army officer, instilled in me a great appreciation for service to a cause greater than yourself, and so I enlisted in the South Dakota Army National Guard to serve my state and country.

My time in the Army National Guard strengthened my love for South Dakota. My fellow soldiers were some of the absolute best people our state has to offer, and I learned a great deal from them. When I eventually made the decision to go to law school in New York City, I knew I wanted to come back home and make my life here.

For the past six years I’ve practiced law in South Dakota, focusing primarily on helping to seek justice for those who have been hurt or wronged. I’ve made my home in Sioux Falls and know how lucky we are to have such a wonderful community to call home.

With your support, I will go to Pierre and fight hard to make sure the decisions being made in the Capitol reflect our shared South Dakota values.
